Laboratory medicine in Dalarna consists of the departments of transfusion medicine, clinical chemistry, and clinical microbiology. We have a cross-departmental working method. In Falun, we are located in nearby premises and share a common specimen drop-off. Our operations are county-wide with laboratories in Avesta, Borlänge, Falun, Ludvika, and Mora. Due to significant investments in Laboratory Medicine Dalarna in recent years, you will work in fresh and newly renovated facilities in an environment with modern equipment.

Biomedical AnalystJob Responsibilities

We are looking for a biomedical analyst for our serological laboratory within Transfusion Medicine. The job involves continuous evening and weekend shifts. You will be part of a work team, with the opportunity to work both independently and collaboratively with other biomedical analysts. Your main tasks will involve laboratory work related to immunology, blood group serology, and transfusion medicine. This includes instrument handling, manual methods, result assessments, technical approvals, troubleshooting, and customer and referrer contacts. Work with component preparation may also be included in the position, as well as blood donor tapping depending on your experience and profile.

Additional InformationQualifications

For the position, you need to be a licensed biomedical analyst, with good communication skills in Swedish, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have previous experience in laboratory medicine or have worked with GMP. Personal qualities suitable for this role include independence, quality awareness, and flexibility.
